Enrolment Options
The Centre operates during school terms. Children enjoy the stability of the same group of children with their teacher and educator each day, interacting and building relationships with the children every day.
Mitchelton Pre-Schooling Centre offers places to our target group, children 3.5 years to 4.5 years (the age prior to children attending Prep in a school-based environment.
Kindergarten Groups
2 LONGER DAYS
Monday and Tuesday
8:30am to 4:00pm
(15 hours per week)
Thursday and Friday
8:30am to 4:00pm

This 15-hour kindy program is fully-funded by the QLD Government’s Free Kindy Program.

2 SHORTER DAYS
Mon, Tues and Wed
8:45am to 2:45pm
(18 hours per week).
Wed, Thurs and Fri
8:45am to 2:45pm
(18 hours per week)
This 18-hour kindy program exceeds the 15-hours funded by the QLD Government’s Free Kindy program. Fees do not apply for eligible children for the first 15 hours of the program. An “additional hours” levy of $313 per child per term in 2026 will apply to cover the unfunded hours of the program.

MPC3’s
PRE-KINDY FOR 3 YEAR OLDS
(For children born between July – January who have turned 3 by 31st January):
Thursday and Friday
9:00am to 2:30pm
MPC 3’s – 2 days per week (5.5 hrs per day)
This program is not eligible for Free Kindy or Childcare Subsidy.

Enrolling Your Child – Kindy
Children may be enrolled at our centre from birth. It is highly recommended that you enrol your child as soon as convenient to have the greatest choice of group options.
MPC offers five dedicated kindergarten classes with 22 children enrolled in each class. Enrolment options with days and times are listed below.
Enrolment offers and choice of class groups are made strictly according to the waiting list order.

- Enrolment application form – Kindy (children who are 4 by 30th June in the year they attend)
NOTE: We are only accepting Kindy applications for years 2028 and beyond.
Please note: a separate form must be submitted for MPC3’s and Kindy.
MPC does not have a sibling policy.
There is no childcare subsidy available at MPC.

Enrolling Your Child – MPC 3’s
At MPC, we offer a dedicated kindergarten program for three-year-old children (children born between 1 July and 31 January turning 4 the year prior to their dedicated Kindy year). This two-day program provides a gentle introduction to kindergarten in a nurturing, play-based environment that recognises the unique developmental needs of younger children.
Led by a qualified early childhood teacher, the program is attended by the same group of 22 children on both days, creating consistency, familiarity and a strong sense of belonging. This continuity supports children as they build trusting relationships with educators and peers, develop confidence and independence, and become comfortable with the routines of kindergarten.
It is highly recommended to enrol your child as soon as possible if you have an interest in this program. To enrol in the following years program, a separate enrolment application for the child’s kindergarten year is required.
Attendance Day/Time
MPC3’s program runs during school terms on Thursday and Friday 9am to 2:30pm.
This program is not eligible for any childcare subsidy or QLD Government Kindy Funding.
Children who attend our MPC3’s program can also attend our B & A Care program if required.
Fees for MPC3’s in 2026 are $75 per day. Fees are invoiced per term with two weeks to pay.
There is a $20 waiting list fee for MPC3’s group. Bank details are listed on the waiting list application form.

Before and After Kindy Care
We offer our B & A Care for the children of working and studying families. Places in our Before and After Kindy Care program are limited and booking requests to use this service must be applied for. There is no childcare subsidy available for Before and After Care.
Hours of operation:
Every morning: 7:00am to 9:00am
Every afternoon: 2:00pm (Mon-Wed)/2:30pm (Thur-Fri) to 5:30pm
This service operates during school terms.
Before and After Kindy Care Fees are:
Permanent Sessions: $ 14.00 for first hour or part thereof, then charged in 1/2 hr increments (no refunds for sick days/non attendance on Permanent bookings).
Casual Use: $20.00 for first hour or part thereof, then charged in 1/2 hr increments. Families must contact the service prior to check availability for a casual booking date.
(Note: There are no subsidies available towards the cost of attending B & A Care)
Playgroup
Our playgroup is facilitated by one of our Educators, Jo and caters for children up to 5 years old. Playgroup operates on selected Saturdays throughout the school term from 9.00am to 10.30am. See below for dates.
Cost: $10.00 per session per family. Payable on the morning by Cash or Card.
Families do not have to have children enrolled at MPC to attend our playgroup. Come along and enjoy our playgroup amongst our natural outdoor play spaces!

2026 Fees Schedule
Kindy program attendance fees (out of pocket fees) per term:
- 2 days per week program $Nil per term (7.5 hr day)
- 3 days per week program $Nil per term (5 hr day)
- 3 days per week program $313.00 per term (6 hr day)
- MPC 3’s 2 days per week program $ 75.00 per day (5.5 hr day) There is no Qld Kindy Funding available for children in this group and Childcare Subsidy cannot be claimed.
